What's in each capsule

700mg of Mucuna pruriens, as a deliberate blend of two materials rather than one.

A 60% HPLC-standardised extract, which gives the capsule its measured, repeatable content.

A 3% standardised whole raw seed, which carries the broader phytochemical profile of the bean itself, including the plant compounds that a concentrated extract leaves behind.

Most products use one or the other. We use both, because we would rather give you the bean as well as the extract. Both materials are HPLC-tested before use and both certificates of analysis are published on our website.

A delayed-release capsule shell, which is the whole point of this formula. A standard capsule opens soon after you swallow it. This one is built to open later, so it is taken at bedtime rather than in the middle of the night.

Added BF¹², our own B vitamin complex: folate, which contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, biotin, which contributes to the normal functioning of the nervous system, and the methylated forms of vitamin B12 and B9, which contribute to normal psychological function. How to take it

Start with one capsule 15 minutes before bed as a trial, with a light snack containing no protein, and see how you get on.

If you notice nothing, add a capsule and try again. Keep going in single-capsule steps until you find the amount that suits you, then stay there. The aim is to settle at the smallest amount that works for you, not to reach a particular number.

Timing matters as much as amount. Because the capsule is delayed release, taking it 10 or 15 minutes earlier or later shifts when it opens, and small changes here often matter more than taking more. Note how the night went and how you feel first thing, and adjust from there.

The non-protein snack matters. Dietary protein competes with natural L-DOPA for the same absorption route, so a biscuit or a piece of fruit is a better companion than cheese or yoghurt.

Many people take MacuDopa Night alongside MacuDopa Day, one covering the waking hours and the other the night.
